I wish renting a car was not so expensive these days, however we had an impeccable rental experience from the pick up to the drop off. As you may be aware I also got an upgrade, I was super stressed about needing a 4 x 4 with the winter weather that was happening just before we were landing - I even called customer service to try to figure out how to do that but amazingly got a 4 x 4 even though I hadn’t booked one. Needless to say the weather wasn’t as bad as would have been imagined, our rental was perfect. Thank you so much, we will be back

Made reservation over 24 hours in advance. Adjusted pick up time by 30 minutes the day we were to pick up the car. Because there was a change to the reservation, they said they could not honor a same-day reservation, despite the fact I made the original reservation the day before. If not for a helpful human at Enterprise, my fiance and I would have been stranded. Will be avoiding Thrifty at all costs and would advise you to do the same.

I got to Asheville airport and was told I did not have a confirmation. I am a Hertz member as well. I showed the two people at the desk my reservation and gave her my confirmation number. She said she could not find it. She said I would have to drive a Ford F150 if she did give me a car. I told her no problem, then she said she couldn't help me. They were AWFUL at the desk. Luckily, the man at the desk sent me to Alamo and they were polite, helpful, and gave me a much, much better experience. I just rented from Hertz in Apopka, Florida last month and the experience was excellent. Asheville, I can say I would be hard pressed to ever attempt that badness again, if for nothing else than not wanting to engage with your agents again. They were not very nice. The woman was particularly snippy and grumpy.

The staff at the counter when I arrived was courteous and fast. Very helpful, 10/10 I ordered a "mid-side SUV," comparable to a Toyota RAV4, and received a Jeep Renegade. To me, it was a wagon—and a small one at that—not a mid-size SUV. But I was in too much of a hurry to contest it.
