Wonderful|Aug 2022

Excellent service here. They maintain a good attitude about making do with the resources they have (limited staffing and sometimes limited stock of cars). Employees are doing everything they can to give their customers the smoothest possible experience. On my pickup and drop off I heard at least one other customer thanking them for making their rental experience easy and dealing with issues quickly. The community seems to appreciate the effort this staff is making and the value Enterprise is providing.

When I went to the office to pick up my car, it was closed. A very nice lady did open up, but said she had no cars. I left empty handed and rented from another source.

The car we received (compact suv) did not meet the needs of our reservation (intermediate). Our travel needs revolves around needing more cargo space, and we were not provided a good option. The car’s exterior was also filthy, forcing us to go through a car wash to clean the windows before interstate travel.

When we arrived to pick up our rental car that had been reserved in advance, we were told that there were no cars available and they didn’t know when any would arrive. This was beyond inconvenient because we were pressed for time to get somewhere and had to quickly come up with another plan. Staffer at the desk was completely clueless and not helpful- stood there like a deer caught in headlights. We left, furious. I will never rent from Hertz again.

When we got to the address provided for pickup (Carmel Indiana) There was a note on the door say the office was closed and to go to the location in Indianapolis. Which is only 20 mins away but having to take an Uber and having to deal with that was a pain with luggage and a car seat and an 18 month toddler. We made it to Indianapolis and the staff was okay. No apology about the location (not their fault) an email would have been nice. The car was fine. It was obvious a quick clean as there was still dirt on the outside and some crumbs on the inside. Had a strong smell, which we later came to the conclusion that it was trying to cover up cigarette smoke. The car drove fine. Brakes were a little weird. And drop off in Kansas City was easy and the nice folks let us drop it off at a different location. They were really nice. I probably wouldn’t go with hertz again bc it cost us extra and was a pain.
