It did what it promised. We weren't expecting a luxury car. It was a small cheap car to get us around for the week. The engine light came on and I called in and they told me to keep driving unless something noticeable happened and they would run out a new car, but the that went off 2 days later. Drop off was easy, less than 3 minutes. What could have been better? -- Didn't know where to go to meet the shuttle. Got our steps in walking all over the place looking. Not something you want to do after landing and waiting forever for your bags. Maybe an email or text to point that out would help. I think it was buried somewhere in the literature, but make sure you read or call ahead on that, it will save you a lot of aggravation.

There was no one at the desk when I picked the car up. So I had to wait 20 mins. I was told that I could drop the car back at 4pm on Sunday and it was closed. I am grateful that Cheryl who was on the desk when I dropped it the next day was helpful and said she’d take the extra day off. I have not received the closing account as yet, so I don’t have any idea whether that was the case. The Prius was very nice and the staff were courteous.

Was easy like it was supposed to be. Car was stored outside, so was a little dirty from the weather. Picked up the car and noticed after drove away that it wasn't completely full, but didn't bother going back for a couple of dollars of gas.

The experience was great and the car was great but we will never use Avis again. We were stuck in an accident on 95 in florida going to the airport for over an hour, so I called Avis to explain that we would be late, the girl said it would be no problem, people always run into some issues. When we dropped the car off, the attendant checked us in and said we were all good to go, no problem. I then get my credit card statement and they charged me $133 for a $75 car rental. They explained it was for being late when I called. I tried to explain, but I got no where. I have a house in Florida and travel there 25 times a year, I know I won’t be using Avis in the future.

I was very satisfied with the process because it was very easy and flawless. No complications, no hidden fees or anything that wasn't discussed prior to the rental. I will recommend Hertz to my visiting family and friends whenever they come to Vero Beach.

There is always a push to get collision and other insurance coverage when renting a car and even tho you have your own insurance that should cover it, you are always told the worst scenarios if you don't get their $$ protection. Don't like that hassle no matter who you rent with. Wished they had more compact cars available at this location, but was given a Malibu that was ok. Was told compacts were more at a larger location. I did appreciate that this ofc was located to my family for easy pick up and from offs.

I called hertz and requested a specific car which I was assured it will be available upon arrival I was told that it was not available, instead they tried to up selling me to upgrade. The car I received was clean (2018 Nissan Rouge) but not in the best of shape as it vibrated a lot on the highway.

Poor|Jul 2023

I reserved a specific vehicle type 3 weeks in advance of when I needed it. I arrived at the scheduled time to find they didn't have a vehicle available. They tried to offer any other vehicle, nothing they had on site met my needs or at any other facility. Told me they would call in 3 hours to let me know if they could find one. In the end my week of plans were cancelled all because they didn't have the vehicle I reserved.
