Poor|Sep 2022

I had reserved a Tesla model 3 for pickup at 5 pm Tuesday. I arrived at the pickup location at 4:40 pm, and was told there are no cars available. Someone else was picking up the Tesla, and the store manager apparently didn't see fit to give me an alternate car. (There were at least 4 cars in the parking lot, and surely not all of them were personal cars. Moreover, the reservation system had shown other cars available at this location as well).

I only marked “poor” because horrible was not an option. I had an appointment to pick up a car at 12pm in Mountain View California. I got there at 12:03 and the place was locked up tighter than a drum. I proceeded to get entangled in a web of misdirections an confusing phone prompts. It took me 3 hrs to speak to a person who told me that they could cancel the reservation or charge me twice as much at the airport 25 miles away. I will never use Hertz again and I will actively seek to dissuade anyone who asks me about this company. Hertz sucks.
