Pleasant experience with pickup and dropoff. Had a rough time finding the Avis counter in a large shopping mall when returning the car.

We showed up. No car. Wanted upcharge from compact to next car size. Wanted $400 deposit on top of everything else. Went to u haul. 1/2 ton pick up. Clean, $267 for 7 days and no deposit. Turned in 3days later. They only charged the $129 and ni deposit.

All 3 rentals had issues with maintenance. Two vehicles had sidewall tears in the tires and the other has a nail in the tread. This, I took the vehicles back to Budget for a refund.

Hidden fees because we picked up too close to the airport. Was not offered the option to prepay for fuel and then charged $40 for 4 gallons. Given an inferior when other cars of the same class were available.

We rented moving trucks to help friends move from N.M. to Oklahoma. We reserved a car to return home to N.M. from Oklahoma. When it came time to speak with the representative to retrieve the rental car he told us we needed Oklahoma drivers licenses and an Oklahoma address and a major credit card only from a Oklahoma bank in order to rent in Oklahoma and return ot in N.M. we ended up having to drive all three moving trucks back to N.M.
