The people were awesome and the car did a great job. The only problem was how the rental returns were parked in front of the available cars so I wasn’t able to get my rental as quickly as I paid for. It cut into at least an hour of my time.

I booked the car online early in the morning went to pick up the car they wouldn’t give it to me because apparently they were out of cars to rent out but my reservation was already completed with a confirmation number. Kayak should’ve told online that they didn’t have cars to rent out instead of having me go to pick up a car I thought I booked online then all of sudden the airport rental company didn’t have for me and my plans got canceled last minute also it was around 6am when I booked it went to pick it up at 8pm couldn’t get one at that time it was getting late I couldn’t reach any other company to rent me one at that time it was getting late.

Our flight got cancelled so I had to call Avis as we were being rerouted to another city. The Avis rep transferred my pick up location right away and we were still able to keep the original drop off location without any hassles. Thanks Avis!

Dollar rental has a policy where they do a credit check just for a rental, I’ve rented plenty of vehicles before from rental places and was never asked to do a credit check. This policy needs to be updated on third-party sites as well to inform customers in the future.

The Dollar scanner wasn’t working properly and didn’t recognize my NYS drivers license and they weren’t able to issue me a car…though I had just travelled from LGA where they had successfully scanned it. There was no back-up plan. The people were fine but couldn’t accommodate me so we had someone else in our party be the driver. A very upsetting and sub-par experience. I won’t rent from Dollar again.

They told me it was an all wheel drive vehicle. I rented that because we were going to the mountains and there would be snow. When I got stuck in the snow, I realized it was actually a two wheel drive vehicle. I tried to call the Greensboro office but got sent to a national phone tree and couldn’t reach a live person. It sucked.

it was deja vu all over again. The last time I rented from Hertz I upgraded from a midsize altima to a full size car. Hertz gave me an Altima and said it was a full size. This time I rented a full size suv ie armada,Pathfinder;Explorer. They provided me with a ..Kia Sorrenta which is classified as a mid size suv. Once again Hertz said it was afull size suv I will never rent from Hertz again because they have their own classification system that allows them to downsize you from what you expected and paid for.

My reservation was for 3 days and was quoted for $970. The car I was given looked like a clown car. The agent refused to provide me a safer car even though I was paying almost $1000 for a 3 day rental. There were tons of cars in the Hertz parking lot. She was unapologetic and made no effort or attempt to appear to be interested in accommodating my request. She should not be in customer service. very disappointed, had to void my whole reservation.
