The young man who helped me (SDSU student) was very good at his job. He was quick and efficient and gave excellent customer service. The Toyota Corolla I was first assigned had been driven by a smoker. The cigarette smell inside the car was pungent and unacceptable. I returned to the office and the young man, without hesitation, gave me keys to another car. Biggest frustration is not being able to contact the car pick up/drop off locations directly with questions. I had no idea what their hours of operation were and BARELY made it to drop off before they closed. There is no optional late drop off, no way to leave keys, etc. If I had been 8 minutes later, they would have closed and I would have missed my flight trying to deal with the car situation.

This was our first time renting a cargo Van so we didn't know the comfort level. I guess you can't really do anything about the seats. I definitely would rent from Hertz again!

The service at both counters was great. The Nissan Rouge is a fine car The price was reasonable considering the COVID-19 demands my only complaint is that the rental car was black and the AC had a hard time keeping pace with the heat. We had day time temps above 112. I think you should use light-color cars in the desert southwest wish I could attach the snapshot of the melted plastic glass from it sitting in the cup-holder in the afternoon Jerry
