The van smelled like cigarette smoke when I first opened the door. Staff immediately sprayed the car and discounted gas requirements to compensate. Van ran great. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

It was fine. Enterprise was the car rental of Travelers Insurance. We did not have a choice. It turned out to be fine. Pickup and Dropoff went very smoothly. The SUV was basic, but drove easily. No problems.

It took 5-minutes to pick up the car. Very good customer service at this location. I was very happy with my rental. I just wish the price of rental cars wasn’t so high. I’m looking forward to the day when the prices drops back to where they were pre-pandemic. Hopefully!

Ease of picking up the car was nice but I did not like how it was not explained to me during pickup about gas, allowed mileage etc. I also found the car to be overpriced for what it was. It wasn’t a bad or good experience, just “okay” overall.

This was our worst experience -ever - with rental cars. We had a confirmed reservation before leaving Chicago for a 9 day trip to Boston, Washington DC, and Richmond VA. We only need the car for our Richmond leg of the trip. As we were in the Amtrak train station awaiting our train to Richmond, we received a text message informing us that our car reservation was cancelled because they didn’t have any cars available (supposedly because of some “accident”). We tried contacting Avis for a further explanation and possible alternative options. No luck! Our hotel reservation in Richmond was in a location that made trying to get around by walking impossible. We were there to visit our grandson who is attending the University of Richmond.. we were in Richmond fo 3 nights. We were able to use Lyft to get from our hotel to the school, but we wanted to do more in the way of sightseeing and visit colonial Williamsburg. We also needed a car for transport from our hotel to the airport for our return flight to Chicago and luggage storage between hotel checkout (11 am) and departure time (5 pm). So, all in all, Avis’s last minute cancellation of our confirmed reservation was nerve-racking and terribly distressing for us.

Price. My military granddaughter rented the vehicle for me since I was on VACATION to help her. However, when I needed to extend another day, I was not granted the discount 🤬🤬. The vehicle did not have even a drop of windshield wash and the inside of the windshield was horrendously dirty. Not really excited to rent from Avis again

The representative that checked me in and out was fantastic! She was very professional and well spoken. The gentleman that details the cars and did the car inspection was fantastic as well. They were so accommodating and pleasant. The car was immaculate too. I told the young lady at the counter how pleasant the experience was and that I will be back and I will. Thank you!😊

Pickup - Was great. The associate was very friendly and helpful and had great customer service. Dropoff - I felt like since the rental was done so was the customer service. Customers should not be allowed to select 5pm as a return time if that is when the store closes. The associate at the location near Willow Lawn showed no concern about helping me turn the car in a few minutes after, and I had to drive back to another location I had just come from. When asking for confirmation about everything being fine this morning (at the original location), that associate seemed unwilling to spend a few minutes to help confirm the pickoff was registered. I heard a comment about being full-lobbied and was deemed not as important. On the other hand, the associate at the other Broad location where the car was actually dropped off, was much more helpful in willing to take a few minutes to talk to me. I will not be renting from the pickup location for a good while.
Awesome staff, very helpful. I didn't catch names but I had a freakout because I didn't read the website copy carefully and missed the 200 deposit, but the guy at the desk was funny, cool, and patient. For a first time car renter, this place was a breeze.

Most comically bad operation I have ever seen. Took me 70 minutes to simply retrieve my car reservation, during which I saw the two rudest and most incompetent employees struggle to complete basic tasks while demeaning customers in front of me the whole time. The continued existence of this location makes me want to short Avis Budget stock.

Unpleasant experience. Reserved vehicle a couple of hours prior to pickup. Vehicle already gone on arrival. No “sorry for the inconvenience” only a rude manager who, with a condescending tone, informed us that we should have reserved it the day prior and implied it was our problem for having gone through a third party software. They had a vehicle at the next level at a higher price. We could take it or leave it. Budget wasn’t going to honor original price already paid. Also told we would lose insurance also purchased through Kayak if we walked away. Ended up paying more for the vehicle (versus spending 1-2 hours making alternative arrangements). Car was fine but very unhappy with Budget. Will avoid them in the future.

The drop-off location erroneously charged me $50 fuel charge even though I brought the car back with a full tank of gas, and then informed me that their error, which they acknowledged, could only be resolved at corporate. I felt ripped-off.

Dulles Airport Location -- Had a reservation, checked in early... still had to wait almost one and a half hours to get the car. some staff just sitting there doing nothing while the long lines persist. really need to get organized. three staff members left leaving one man to handle the long line and he was trying to force people to get easy pass and insurance coverage which made the wait even longer as customers got into disagreement with him. it was the worst experience.
