The pick up attendant was the best part of the rental experience. She was quick and friendly and overall helpful. Sadly it went downhill after. The car was filthy and had obviously not been cleaned after the last person. There were glass water bottles rolling around the back seat, trash in the trunk and crumbs and stuff all over the rest of the car. The service light was on and the brakes made a loud noise for the 2 days I had it.

Kayak !!! Update your system !!! I booked a car through kayak , I went to hertz and they did not have the vehicle I picked. Unacceptable!!! Never again through kayak !!!

Hertz intentionally overbooked the Hartford location by 30 cars and denied our reservation. They didn't offer any assistance in finding an alternative vehicle and were initially reluctant about even granting a refund. We needed to get three hours north of Hartford that day and it was a completely preventable struggle. We can't see ourselves using them again.
