It was all good until we opened the rental car door and it was super dirty and then A Cockroach was in the car and where there’s one theres more … so we asked the attendant of Avis what can he do for us and he didn’t have any options for us so we had no choice but to use the rental . I also have a picture of the cockroach because I was in disbelief I’ve never seen such .

I had reserved a 3-row SUV, but only a mini-van was available upon arrival. The queuing situation was a little confusing, so I was evidently waiting for an agent in the wrong place. When he realized this (i.e., when I finally came up to him), he said he couldn't help me, since I wasn't in the right line, and he made me go to the end of the line. The people in front of me had a mismatch between their reservation (under the wife's name) and the driver's license (the husband). The difficult agent mentioned above did not help them, for instance by modifying their reservation. He just refused to figure out a way for them to get the car that they had reserved and paid for. I found this a pretty amazingly ungenerous way to act.

The car was very clean and nice. The pick up of the vehicle was great and my car was ready to go as soon as I arrived off the plane for pick up. It has been over 24 hours And I still have not received my 300$ deposit, nor have a received an email or text about my deposit. I returned the car in the exact same condition as well as with a full tank of gas. This is unacceptable. When I asked the lady at the desk when I would receive my deposit back she said “whenever the guy down in returns closes out your ticket”

Our plane tickets were changed by the airlines due to the expected snow. (We had 8 inches.). We contacted Avis and asked them if they would hold our reservation until Sunday. We said we were willing to honor paying for seven days when we would only be using it six. They said they would try holding it 24 hours. We had a couple of conversations with them with the same answer. When we arrived in San Juan we went straight to the counter and the lady informed us that our reservation had been cancelled because of the 24 hour time frame. She said the only car left was a two passenger vehicle and we were traveling with family. Our satisfaction would be rated a “0”. We received zero help, zero consideration, and zero assistance. We didn’t change our flight but Avis sure rented our car and we are sure it was for more $$ than OUR rental would have been. So no, we will never use Avis again! Mary Gibson

Staff at pickup counter was very rude. I had ordered a 7 passenger minivan, they were trying to give me a Hyundai Santa Fe & insisting that it would be the same. Eventually gave me an old minivan with a broken key fob and a shot suspension! Very disappointed!
Nice vehicle. No problems with it. Drop off was easy. Pick up - we waited for over an hour for the car to be brought up (along with others) not being told we could go to the vehicle and check out despite asking about it. I was told I would get an email after turning it in which I did not seem to get. Bill was more than expected or initially presented and I don't yet know why.

Long lines at San Juan Puerto Rico airport to get car. Handled well a parking fine I received.
The shuttle at the airport brought us right to their location. They got us all set up very quickly and even put our bags in the car. Great service and car at an amazing price.
My flight got cancelled. Their offices closes at 5pm. I got in on a new flight at 8pm. And was not able to pick up my car bc office was closed. I am looking to get refunded but there doesn’t seem to be much hope. They should disclose their office closes at 5pm. Before you book.
They said they had underage fees on the website but it turns out you have to be at least 23! So we all showed up after the flight ready to grab our car and we couldn’t. So stressful! Terribly run company and they gave us NO heads up whatsoever! Because of them we almost got marooned out in Puerto Rico

They only accept visa or Mastercard and I only had my debit card with me because I thought I payed for it I line and they said it didn’t pay it just held my reservation since the card I used wasn’t a Mastercard or visa. So not only did I need full coverage on top of having to pay tolls and they held $400 on my debit card until I returned the vehicle. It was very unprofessional and my car was all messed up. A while in the bumper and sends and scratches on the front and back bumper. Do notttt use them!

Fair deal compared to other suppliers. Convenient location. Easy in and out. Shuttle was easy to use both ways. Car was somewhat dirty and had been battered a bit considering that it was such a new car.
