It took us nearly an hour to pick up our car. The office was severely over staffed with just one person there to handle all pickups, clean the car and deal with drop offs. She was stressed out and unfriendly. The person ahead of us took 45 minutes to resolve some issue with her car, so my family had to wait in the hot sun outside the tiny office. When we finally got inside, the person behind the desk had our reservation written down, and knew we were coming (we had reserved ahead and called the day before to confirm), yet she had to slowly re-enter all our information. Then she told us she had no clean cars available, so we had to wait while she ran out to clean out the car we had reserved, which had trash in the front seat, unvacuumed etc. While this was happening two more people came and had to wait, so I’m guessing this one poor agent had to deal with angry visitors all day waiting for her to manage. No wonder she was stressed and hostile!! Avis please support your teams with better systems and staffing. We will find another option for future transportation.
