We had to wait over an hour at pick up as there was only one person on the counter that night

Someone should have been available to give me the car when I got to the garage after completing the paperwork at the rental counter. Instead, I waited in a freezing cold garage for more than 30 minutes before getting someone on the phone who said I had to journey back to the rental counter. The delay affected my scheduled arrival with my family.

I booked a Compact car (Toyota Aygo) but, since I arrived a bit later than scheduled (that's on me), they had no more cars available – ANY cars, apart from one Volvo XC 90. Which I agreed to rent for an upgrade, since I needed a car. The clerk was very helpful, took the time to explain details of the vehicle, gave some tips on the places we were going to visit, the car was great and everything was quickly solved.
