Jeep car rentals in Grand Rapids

Our experience with budget could have been better in the following areas; the van we rented was dirty when we received it. The van needed new shocks/struts and was a very bumpy and unpleasant ride. The van needed an alignment and was pulling to the right the entire time we were driving which made for a very unpleasant and difficult driving situation. We were not very happy with the quality of the vehicle and sincerely hope no one else has to have the experience we did. Hopefully this helps in making things easier and smoother for people renting forward. Thanks so much.

Car smelled so badly of smoke, it should not have been offered for rental.

Last-minute rental gave us a free vehicle upgrade to a beautiful Chevy Malibu--very comfortable and great highway mileage for an unexpected 600-mile drive. Final bill was a bit less than the original expected cost and drop-off/check-out was efficient and hassle-free. Attendant even spotted my credit card in the cup holder and came running to give it to me! Overall, an excellent rental experience!

The staff were very helpful, and the process was easy and straightforward. I had a great car that was perfect for my needs.

The car was very clean, but I had a couple issues with it: 1. The headlights seemed to be really poorly aligned. I could barely see anything at night unless I turned the high beams on, and that's pretty annoying/potentially dangerous. 2. I was driving on a wet highway in the winter. The road had a lot of salt on it, and it was constantly being kicked up onto the windshield. The wiper fluid that Avis uses must be really cheap, because it froze up in the lines and wouldn't spray onto the windshield. I had to constantly pull off to wipe the windshield manually so that I could safely see while driving. Dangerous! Also, I was in a position to return the car early, but I wanted to know if it would cost more to do so (due to having had a discount for renting over a longer period initially). I called Avis for info about this twice, and both times I got turned away. They said that they could only show me the price *after* accepting the car back. These people do this every day; surely they should have an idea of whether or not it'd be more expensive. In the end, while the car was clean and relatively cheap, my overall experience with my rental wasn't a good one. Based on this experience, I'd be hesitant to return to this Avis/Budget location.

Promised aCX5 Mazda or better and got a Ford mini crossover. It was beat up on the exterior and was an uncomfortable ride. Very disappointed.
