Avis closed at 4p.m., just before our plane arrived. No one told us in advance that Avis would be closed. We could not get anyone on the phone to explain the situation that day or the next. Priceline charged us a $50 no show for not showing up. We showed up, Avis did not.

The pickup process could have been a bit better. The car was pulled up to the curb and sat there without knowing if it was for you or not. Process could be a little better defined.

When the airlines failed to inform us of a cancelled flight and we had to scramble to find a way home, Avis was very considerate of our predicament and discounted our change to drop-off location with a greatly discounter fee. Avis, we will be back!

The staff that I picked up the car from was super kind. We did call ahead before the pickup and asked to pick up the car a day later and they said that would be ok. when we called the day of the pickup they were unaware of the pickup day switch. they were very accommodating though and hooked is up with another car. all good!
National driving license not accepted. Changing the booking to another driver with an international license was problematic as the staff lied that it was not valid. After a long time they made a new booking with double the price.

If you’ve never flown into the Flagstaff Pulliam airport (it was my first), you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Very small airport which made the pick up and drop off very pleasant and fairly quick. There was only one counter but three workers who serviced both Budget and Alamo. Pick up and drop off was right at the airport (within 50 ft of the bldg). Only thing that could have been different (not necessarily better) - I haven’t rented a car in quite but we didn’t do a walk around before leaving the lot. Our luggage was delayed so didn’t need to use the trunk immediately but the next morning I noticed a little damage to the bumper. When turning in the vehicle there was no walk around and I haven’t seen/heard from them about it and hopefully won’t

Budget would not accept reservation. If it wasn't for the Hertz rep at the next counter me and my family would have been stranded.

They only had a Prius available and since we were traveling with a small dog for 8 days it wouldn’t work for us we had to pay an extra $15 a day to move to a Toyota Camry which was not really clean and needed the tires balanced because the steering wheel vibrated. Otherwise we would have to wait at the airport for a minimum of 3 hours for another vehicle.

Long wait at Flagstaff for car. Windows dirty. Tank not quite full. Kia Optima was one of the best cars I have ever driven. So quite I had to look at tach to see if it was running. Excellent drop off at Albuquerque, about 3 minutes. Overall good deal, after I spent 2 days trying to clean car and windows so I could see out.
