We were told that we could change the drop-off location from a residential area to the airport, but on the day of drop-off, were told that there would be a six-hundred dollar fee to do so. Say whaaaaa????? We drove to the airport anyway, explained the corporate greed mistake, and the very nice atytendent waived the fee. Car renters BEWARE of unexpected and spectacularly high drop-off change fees and get something in writing before you sign on the line,that there will be NO extra fee to change the drop off location.
Didn't have the car or similar that was requested. Overcharged for the rental, very complicated to try to pickup the car.

The price you advertised was far, far off what I was charged. Instead of it costing about $200, the bloody car cost over $500. How can you legally do this???????????????????????
The window was very dirty and the wipers were not very good. That was the only problem I had with the car. I have not received a receipt for the car rental.

They didn’t actually have rental cars available even though Kayak said they did. I went all the way to the airport pick up location just to find no actual cars

Rental counter closed at 4 pm, flight delays caused us to arrive at 5 pm. No one told us about limited counter hours No car , no offer from Budget to provide transportation to our final destination. We had to stay in airport hotel until next day. When we picked up the car, rental agent was rude. I will not rent from Budget again
Hertz added additional charges and fees on at the time of check in so the quoted price I paid at time of reservation through Kayak was not accurate. Their check in staff also gave different answers at check in and argued about it in front of me. Also, Hertz grossly overcharged me for gas at return - for a whole tank of gas! I happened to have a photo of the dashboard at check in documenting the tank at 7/8 full (which matched what I wrote on the check in sheet), and had to spend an hour on the phone to get MOST (but not all) of the gas charge refunded. They still charged me for 1/4 tank of gas (which is not cheap at $10.99) a gallon. Overall, this was not a good experience, and I would be very hesitant to rent from this company again.
