Thrift was one of the worst experiences I have had with a car rental. Enterprise has consistently been far better and who I will use in the future. The front desk attendant would interrupt me and just wasn't easy to work with My vehicle's alignment was badly out - which I didn't notice until I was on my way and didn't have time to turn around. The vehicle definitely had been smoked in and they must have tried to mask the smell, but because the longer I drove in the car the worse it got. Finally, I transported a client in this vehicle - they had to roll the window down as soon as they got in the car. Embarrassing to say the least.

Car was dirty. Actually I took pictures of some ladies nails that were left in one of the doorslots. Disgusting. Rude customer service rap. Was 20 minutes late dropping off the vehicle. Was charged An extra day. Even though I was on the phone trying to get directions to location because it's not in the airport. When I arrived at the location the only entry way was blocked off by their Van. Had the circle around twice. Horrible horrible location

Vehicle was driven to Chicago, had mechanical issues. Since Thrifty in St. Ann is privately owned they were unable to help with anything and I couldn't get service from any other Thrifty.

Nothing. All Enterprises accept debit cards. It wasn’t until I went to pick up the car that I was told the airport location does not. I was told they would transfer the reservation to St Ann location for the same price. I went to St. Ann and the cost was almost 3 times higher. I ended up canceling. At this point I was already an hour behind schedule and ended up going with Thrifty who not only gave me a great rate, but also upgraded my vehicle for free!!!

You still have over charged me $160. I spent more than 2.5 hours trying to rectify this all the way up to management, and even after signing a 1 way contract from STL to SPI somehow you (AVIS) put in DFW and added an extra day even thought the car was used for a total of 10 hours from pick up to drop off to the location I contracted for...not DFW. I will seek remedies through the Attorney Generals offices of both states. I believe you regularly fraudulently over charge clients in similar manners and then exasperate and wear them down transfering them numerous times to bogus other transfers and finally making them give up. Disgusting and not without consequences and accountability. Quoted and signed for total charges of $144 and then charged $920 for a 10 hour rental!!!!!!!!! Also talked down to repeatedly like an idiot... How is this for a review? Imagine if this happened to you or someone you care about. SHAME ON AVIS! Absolute Fraud!

Didn't get the car until an hour and a half after the reservation time. The car was only half full (didn't notice until after I had left and at that time of night I was not going back). The car battery died while we were in a funeral procession, blocking the activities until I got it jumped. The passenger windows did not work. I returned it full tank as arranged and was only offered $20. Shabby outfit, never again.

The service was so fast in St. Louis. They put other branches to shame. I travel weekly and I’ve never been dealt with as fast. The manager’s special deal was super cheap compared to usual prices. Great rental.
