Toyota car rentals in Flint

Beware the insurance scam. Declined the coverage on kayak and they still added it back in at the rental counter. Had to fight with Thrifty to remove it.

My experience with Thrifty and Kayak was beyond disappointing. I booked a one way trip with a minivan from the Orlando airport as our family’s flight was canceled. After waiting in a long line, the agent (who refused to provide his name) told us that there were no more minivans available and that they only had four seat sedans. I reiterated that we booked a minivan because there were six members of our family. He said we could probably seat five in the sedan, but then became very rude and borderline hostile when I said that wouldn’t be possible because there were six of us. I asked if he could tell me the cost of a second vehicle and he said he couldn’t. Additionally, prior to arriving at the airport a family member had called both Kayak and Thrifty to confirm we’d be able to modify the drop off location from Boston to the Savannah airport and was told that was possible at the rental counter. When I asked the man at the rental counter he said that was not possible and that I had to modify this with Kayak. I, as well as family members tried calling Kayak multiple times from the counter and the calls were either dropped or we were told to use the website. When we went to the Kayak website to modify the drop off location, we all kept getting errors saying the reservation couldn’t be found. Needless to say, the experience was incredibly stressful, unfriendly, and inoperative for our family’s needs. I am still working on receiving a refund for the money I was charged for insuring the car I never rented. Our family spent nearly $1000 on an Uber to drive the 4 hours we needed the car rental for - a cost that should be reimbursed by Kayak. What an incredibly unacceptable experience trying to use Thrifty through Kayak - a family of six (including children) were left stranded with no options for a resolution.

Everything went fine. Great car and a good price. The return was only made difficult due to roadworks around the car yard.

Got an upgrade, very satysfied with both the car and service at Dollar

Pickup took45 minutes in spite of pre paying and registering my license in advance.

The first lady that was trying to help me gave me to small SUV when I ordered a full size one. Please use correct car photos instead of misleading people to when they are actually getting. I then bought a 3rd party insurance and the lady at dollar told me that was good and FORCED me to buy $100 insurance through them!!!!?? Forced me to get it!! It didn't even seem like she wanted to be at work and keep sending people to other places to pick up their reservations. I will never use dollar rental ever again and will hell everyone of my experience.

The staff on 09/10/21 Flint airport was terrible. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and was treated rudely and given wrong information about debit card policy. The National staff is nothing compared to Enterprise.

3 days in a car smelling like cigarette smoke, not acceptable.

Budget was great. Then van we had was not the best for sleeping.

The car had scratches and a smoke smell that wasn't already filled out on the check-in slip. I didn't want to be charged for them so it took awhile to notate those and then stand in line again to confirm those with the check-in person. Just an added step that could have easily been taken care of before I got to the car. Also, the price for about 12 hours of use seemed excessive.

Rental was good my problem was the return I dropped rental van about 8 15 am before they open up and somehow I read to drop the keys in the budget lock box which I did but I left my contract in the van I called and talked to the branch manager the next day he told me that someone just dropped the keys on his desk but he told me he owed me a day credit since I dropped off van at the right time mostly the problem was my fault but I did appreciate the help from the branch manager. Thanks!

Everything went very well. It's renting a car is so expensive now. Really didn't like the versa. Nothing wrong with it just wasn't comfortable for us. Alamo was good & the staff was very nice.

Agent was extremely rude. Van was very dirty inside. Would never use or recommend Alamo.
