Currently, Kazakhstan travel restrictions include travel to Kzyl-Orda. Kazakhstan has restricted the entry of most foreign nationals and suspended most flights except for state flights, ferry flights, sanitary flights, and technical landings for refueling purposes. From June 20, Kazakhstan will reopen flights from China, Georgia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Turkey; however, only certain categories of people will be allowed to enter on these flights. These include: diplomats, direct-family members of Kazakhstani citizens, residency permit holders, and some employees of designated companies in critical industries. Travelers arriving on flights originating from China, South Korea, Japan, Georgia, and Thailand will have their temperature taken and be required to complete a questionnaire. Those arriving on flights originating from Turkey will have their temperature taken, be required to complete a questionnaire, and will need to provide proof (via PCR test and dated no more than five days before their arrival to Kazakhstan) of their negative status for COVID-19. Those without PCR test results will be tested in Kazakhstan and their residence within 48 hours of arrival. Travelers arriving on flights originating from other countries will have their temperature taken, be required to complete a questionnaire, and will need to provide proof (via PCR test and dated no more than five days before their arrival to Kazakhstan) of their negative status for COVID-19. Those without test results will be held for up to two days in a quarantine facility in the city of their arrival and tested for COVID-19. If you are planning to travel to Kzyl-Orda at this time, it is recommended that you stay up to date on current restrictions and follow proper safety measures while in public.
