Senior Digital Designer / Senior Art Director

As Senior Digital Designer, you will help drive forward momondo’s efforts to design a best-in-class user experience across multiple digital platforms, as well as work to solidify our design principles, and help shape and grow the creative capabilities of an awesome design team.

User Experience Architect

The position

Based in the heart of Copenhagen, you’ll join a team of highly qualified researchers, strategists and designers within service, product, brand, digital, interaction, and responsive web design. As momondo’s User Experience Architect you will be responsible for the design of the responsive- and content driven UX architecture, interaction flows and implement best usability practices for new products and services across web, tablet and smartphone platforms. The position demands a hands-on approach, as you will get the responsibility for the right production of wireframe, UI flows and feature specifications in the team. You will be working with multiple groups across the business, including the executive team, to solve complex user problems and needs that fit within the business framework. You will furthermore work with product managers and designers to formulate ideas on how to improve products by actively gathering and understanding customer, partner, and stakeholder needs. Your profile

You preferably have a degree within design, human-computer interaction (HCI) or an educational background within engineering or psychology. You have experience from working in cross functional groups to deliver high quality products and have a deep understanding of design heuristics and techniques of user-centered design usability principles. Additionally, you are digital native and come with a solid understanding of designing for touch devices, responsive web solutions and an understanding for web analytics and how they inform product enhancements. Essential functions

Responsibilites

  • Develop new products and features to make the momondo product portfolio even better
  • Improve and optimise existing web site features
  • Ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase
  • Work closely with the Design Team and Product Team to produce working prototypes and fully functional features

Skills and background

  • Relevant technical education and background
  • Expert in website development and internet technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, Ajax, Web Services)
  • Experience working with JavaScript frameworks, specifically jQuery, AngularJS, Knockout or similar
  • Experience with scalable solutions on Microsoft platforms and technologies (ASP.NET, C#, IIS)
  • Experience working with databases and data access, e.g. MS SQL
  • Knowledge about responsive design and implementation of such
  • Knowledge about cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and preferably experience with agile development methodologies

Turkish Community Manager (Freelance)

momondo is looking for a driven and experienced social media professional to build the strategy and drive the delivery and ongoing development of momondo’s social media presence in Turkey.

Responsibilities

  • Freelance position (20 hours a week)
  • Flexible working across 7 days of the week
  • Per month, 2 hours should be dedicated to proofreading
  • Reports to Content and Social Media Manager for English Language Markets and Online Marketing Manager for Turkey
  • Respond to all user messages on social media written in Turkish within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) and 36 hours (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Distribute momondo content to relevant online communities and social networks (e.g. a blog post called Free Places in Copenhagen should be distributed within communities concerned with Scandinavia, Denmark, Copenhagen (either, communicate directly with the administrators, or post the links in the discussions and on the wall))
  • Monitor key news sources for travel developments that directly affect Turkish travellers, updating Twitter followers whenever possible
  • Unused hours to roll over per month and held in reserve for special projects, for example Facebook competition campaigns

Facebook

  • Translate text and schedule all Global content (5 to 7 items a week)
  • Create (source imagery and write copy) and schedule 20 unique posts per month targeted for a Turkish audience
  • Provide the answer to any question posed within an update around 24 hours after that update was published
  • Respond to, and moderate where necessary, all comments written on status updates
  • Respond to all Wall Posts and Messages written in Turkish
  • Moderate abusive messages where applicable

G+

  • Schedule every piece of Facebook content that contains an image on G+
  • Provide answers to any questions posed within a post around 24 hours after that post was published
  • Respond to, and moderate where necessary, all comments written on posts
  • Moderate abusive messages where applicable

Twitter

  • Minimum of 5 Tweets a day (to be comprised of the following)
  • 3 Tweets a day promoting momondo Turkish blog posts
  • Respond to all Tweets
  • Retweet relevant, high quality travel-related articles from authoritative Turkish and globally-recognised sources
  • Initiate and contribute to travel-oriented conversations happening in Turkish between ordinary travellers and authoritative travel publications and travel bloggers

Skills and background

  • Experience in community management on Facebook and Twitter
  • Basic Photoshop skills (resize and optimise images; add watermarks)
  • Brilliant eye for superb, authentic imagery
  • Great writing skills
  • Level of English: Intermediate
  • Well-travelled preferred

KPIs

  • Producing and scheduling the requisite number of content items
  • Responding to feedback within the specified timeframes
  • Growing engagement for Facebook posts
  • Growing the following of the Turkish Twitter account
  • Increasing the number of views of momondo blog articles by ensuring distribution through relevant Turkish channels
