Product Owner

We’re looking for a product owner with a strong interest within software product development to join our Android product team. You thrive on ambitious targets and can plan and execute a product strategy in your sleep. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, and can turn insights into ideas and new product concepts for our apps and website. You are very result-orientated, and enjoy pushing activities in an agile, creative, and international business environment.

Responsibilities

Working directly with our mobile development team in Copenhagen, you will ensure that we deliver relevant and high-quality mobile apps to our users. You will work closely with the lead product manager, who is overall responsible for the strategic product decisions for momondo’s native apps. As product owner you will:

  • Understand our customers’ desires and translate them into use cases, product definitions and stories in a prioritised backlog
  • Support your team in constantly learning and improving the ways of working together
  • Work with the implementation of the vision and strategy for your product ensuring that the plan is in line with our commercial objectives
  • Partner with UX specialists, designers, developers, and QA teams to scope out the product features and turn them into clear concepts, product specifications and commercial opportunities
  • Define, monitor and analyse metrics for launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process
  • Clearly communicate the vision, plans, objectives and progress to stakeholders – tailoring communication to ensure relevance to the audience
  • Keep updated with emerging technologies, and assess their relevance to our products, momondo developers and our end-users

Skills and background

Ideally, you come from a position as PM or agile PO in a software company, but you could also come from a development or marketing position. You should be fluent in English (other languages are a bonus), and be inspirational, motivated and supportive. You should also:

  • Have a burning passion for mobile apps and what they can do for our users
  • Have experience with agile development and thorough knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Be good at communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context

Business Analyst

Responsibilities

You will be an integral part of the Data Team at Momondo Group, ensuring the accurate gathering of requirements from across the business and the communication of those requirements to the data engineers. Clear communication back to the business on the wider data projects will be vital in maintaining trust in the projects. Your work will help to ensure the flow of valuable data throughout the business to enable data-driven decision making that determines the way we develop and market our products and communication with our users. This role will act as the focal point for data requests so liaising between the teams in Copenhagen and London is essential, ensuring requirements are understood, specified and then delivered.

You will also:

  • Gather data integration requirements from stakeholders across the momondo business, from Marketing to Product to Business Intelligence
  • Define a requirement gathering process and implement it
  • Translate strategic requirements into technical implementation specifications, suitable for the existing architecture
  • Clearly document requirements
  • Communicate those requirements to the wider data team, ensuring scope and priority is understood

Skills and background

The successful candidate will need to have a very good understanding of big data and data analytics, the technology underlying these disciplines and their implementation. You should also have:

Search Campaign Manager (Trainee)

Are you looking for a career in online marketing and would like to play a key role in meeting momondo’s ambitious growth targets?

In this exciting position you will work with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) on the world’s leading search engines – Google, Bing, Yandex and Baidu.

The full-time traineeship lasts 6 months and you will be taught the theoretical background of SEM while getting your hands dirty building, implementing and optimising some of the largest campaigns in the industry. All based on data analysis, in which you will also play a big role. A broad variety of both internal and external data tools will help you get the right insights and make the best decisions. You are encouraged to be creative and come up with new ideas that can move our SEM activities to the next level.

The training will be conducted by experienced and specialised online marketing superheroes who will make you an expert within online marketing and especially SEM.

The goal of the traineeship is to make you an indispensable part of momondo’s international online marketing team going forward. By the end of the traineeship you are expected to transition into a permanent position.

International Sales Manager

Would you like to influence momondo’s suppliers and be a key player in achieving ambitious growth targets? Do you thrive in a challenging extreme business environment? If the answer is ‘yes’, then you could be our next international sales manager.

We’re looking for a master of supplier management; someone who is result-orientated and loves to work on multiple tasks at the same time – without losing focus.

This is an attractive position in a creative and highly international company, where things are always evolving. You’ll be based in our main office in Copenhagen, report to the global sales team lead and work closely with our dedicated and brilliant team of marketing and operations experts.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be your market(s) and supplier portfolio. You’ll need to establish a good relationship with the key players in your market(s), and ensure a local product which is best in class, both in terms of coverage and price. You will also:

  • Drive quality control from a user perspective on all platforms (web and mobile)
  • Constantly keep track of supplier performance and engage with suppliers to improve the revenue stream and user experience
  • Initiate new commission models and bring them to market by terminating old agreements and closing new agreements – this is an ever changing landscape
  • Negotiate with new suppliers and renegotiate with existing suppliers
  • Initiate and execute regular exchange of data with the aim of improving your own as well as suppliers’ performance
  • Keep an eye on the competitive landscape
  • Act on feedback from users when required
  • Roll up your sleeves. This is a hands-on role!

Skills and Background

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor degree, and 2+ years experience as an online sales manager with an international portfolio (or similar position). The position will require a lot of communication with suppliers, and within momondo (from tech guys to marketing guys to users), and as such, outstanding communication skills are a must. You should also have:

  • A flair for numbers
  • Strong negotiation skills and be supremely confident in negotiating favourable terms
  • Native English skills (knowledge of other languages is an advantage)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge about the commercial and technical aspects of online accommodation booking and sales platforms, such as OTAs, Channel Managers, Wholesaler, Bed-banks, GDSs etc.

Are you passionate about creating great business solutions, working with teams to define requirements, setting up projects, facilitating solution designs, formulating delivery plans and seeing all this through to a successful conclusion? You’ll join a small project team based in London and Copenhagen, supporting initiatives that span Momondo Group, along with specific work for our two main brands, momondo and Cheapflights.

Responsibilities

You’ll take ownership and responsibility for the management of full project lifecycle activity. You’ll also need to apply your business analysis skills to assist business teams in taking ideas and challenges through a process of refinement and definition, culminating with clearly defined requirements that can be delivered by a project you’ll set up and manage.

As a project manager you’ll work with senior executives to agree and define project scope and delivery schedules, along with challenging the underlying business rationale to ensure that resources and budgets are focused on providing maximum benefits for Momondo Group. You should also be able to:

  • Enjoy liaising with internal and external suppliers
  • Focus on pragmatic delivery methods and ensure alignment with strategic goals

Skills and background

As a person you are a strong communicator, with a wide range of project management skills and analysis experience, and able to analyse complex business problems and produce results in clear, simple and effective language. You’ll act as the key interface between business and technology, able to create diagrams and process flows to show current and future states.

You are not expected to produce technical designs but you should be very comfortable working in and around technical areas, whilst exhibiting a sound understanding of contemporary Internet technology and business models. You’ll need to understand the importance of data; how it is collected, processed and transformed into business intelligence. When things get tough you must be able to plan a way through, prioritising and removing obstacles whilst maintaining a focus on achieving the end goal.

You should also be adept in:

Front-end Designer

We are looking for an experienced, talented and user-centric front-end designer to grow our Product Design Team.

The position

As our new front-end designer, you’ll help drive efforts to design a best-in-class user experience across multiple digital platforms. You’ll work to solidify our design principles, and you’ll help shape and grow the creative capabilities of the design team. You’ll be working in a fast paced, creative and dedicated team and report to the Head of Design. Your primary responsibilities will be the following:

  • Making amazing visual front-end designs of all sorts together with our digital designers
  • Leading the interaction design process in several projects, in close collaboration with product managers
  • Working collaboratively and structured in a multi-disciplinary team in an agile environment.
  • Translating visual designers work to code with high degree of visual and efficient accuracy.

Skills and background

You take ownership of your projects and work independently while also being a team player who loves working to reach common goals. You have a pragmatic approach to your work, always focusing on the end product, rather than opinions and politics. You are a doer who is not afraid of rolling up your sleeves because getting the job done is more important than your own ego. You like to work in an agile environment where priorities and tasks can change very quickly and you might have to redo the same thing over and over. Digital Designer

We are looking for a creative digital designer with extensive brand and communication skills, and hands-on knowledge about responsive web and app design and their possibilities.

Responsibilities

As our new digital designer, you will help drive efforts to design a best-in-class user experience across multiple digital platforms. You’ll also work to solidify our design principles, and help shape and grow the creative capabilities of a great team. iOS Developer

momondo's mobile engineering team is currently looking for talented and experienced iOS Developers to work within our high-performance iOS App team, where you will both teach and learn, in an innovative and fast-paced agile environment. New Media Designer

We are looking for a talented creative digital designer with hands-on knowledge with display creatives to become part of one of the world’s strongest online marketing teams and drive our online display creatives to be among best performing and most appealing in the world. At momondo online marketing we aim for the stars and sometimes miss – but then we shoot again!

Main responsibilities include

  • Interacting with many groups within the organization to figure out requirements and translate them into usable designs.
  • Creating wireframes and mock-ups, as well as owning the prototyping process.
  • Hands-on graphics design and prototyping with our web and app developers.
  • Ensuring the quality of the visual experience across projects.
  • And of course, making beautiful, intuitive, quality designs for our banners.

Skills and Background

  • Degree in New Media, Information Studies, Digital Interfaces, HCI or similar.
  • 4+ years of experience from a similar position.
  • Extensive experience with the Adobe software suite.
  • Expert level experience with responsive HTML 5 and CSS 3.
  • Experience with Less/Sass, JS, and lower forms of programming is a plus.
  • Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with SVG and SVG animation is a plus.
  • Experience with Flash and Actionscript is a plus.
