Eating in Moscow

Food in Russia is very important and entertaining guests, impressing them with your culinary prowess has been, and still is very important. Therefore Russians rarely eat out at restaurants, however this is changing in Moscow. Restaurants have offerings from the far flung corners of Russia, alongside traditional Moscow fare which is heavily influenced by traditional French food, therefore the quality is generally very high.

Muscovites themselves are very friendly and helpful to foreign visitors, especially to those that try their hand at the Russian language and they are happy to assist with whatever you need.
