British Airways has launched a sale across all cabin classes. The British national carrier offers up to 25 per cent on Economy Class-, up to 36 per cent on Business Class- and up to 57 per cent on First Class fares. The sale offers discounts throughout its schedule. Book by 9 November.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will re-launch their service to Miami. The direct route from Amsterdam to Miami was cut in September 2004, but will re-launch on 27 March 2011. The service will operate four times weekly.

easyJet has announced 16 new routes for its winter schedule. The low-cost carrier will launch the new routes from 1 November 2010 throughout 15 February 2011. There will be new routes from Manchester to Amsterdam, Hamburg and Gothenburg, from Edinburgh to Basel, Cologne and Paphos, from London Gatwick to Luxor and Zagreb, from Bristol to Fuerteventura, Salzburg and Lyon, from Liverpool to Lyon, Grenoble and Brussels, from Belfast to Malta and from Leeds Bradford to Geneva.

Aer Lingus will launch a new service to France. From 17 December the Irish carrier will operate three weekly services from Shannon to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Low-cost airline AirTran has announced a new sale on domestic flights. The American carrier has return flights available from ca. €60 for travel until 9 February 2011. Destinations include Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and many more. A 10-day advance purchase is required. Book by 9 November.

Ryanair has announced yet another popular low-cost sale. One-way fares are available ca. €10 including taxes and fees to destinations across Europe. Travel from 9 November till 31 January 2011. Book at least 14 days in advance and no later than midnight tomorrow 28 October.

In other news, Ryanair will reduce flights to and from Frankfurt-Hahn by 30 per cent. 15 routes will be subject to reduced frequencies while services to Agadir, Berlin, Gdansk, Gothenburg, Klagenfurt, Prague, Santiago, Seville and Wroclaw will close.

SAS will in the summer of 2011 launch three new routes from Oslo and one from Stockholm. From Oslo six weekly services will fly to Munich, three weekly to Palma de Mallorca and two weekly to Split. From Stockholm there will be two new weekly services to Venice.

Flybe has announced a new sale on its summer 2011 flights around Europe. One-way flights are departing until 11 September 2011 and are on sale from ca. € 30. Flights are available from the UK to all around Europe, including Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Faro. Book by 28 October.

Lufthansa has launched a US sale. Flights are available from ca. € 296 return, excluding taxes and fees. Travel by March 31, 2011, with a 14 day advance purchase required. Destinations include Boston, New York and Miami. Book by 26 October.

American Airlines has announced 10 new routes from Los Angeles in April 2011. In partnership with American Eagle there will be launched new domestic routes to Albuquerque, Boise, El Paso, Houston, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Sacramento and Tucson, as well as a international route to Shanghai.

SAS has announced their winter schedule for 2010/2011. During the winter period new routes will be launched to Shanghai from Copenhagen and to New York from Oslo. Furthermore, there will be increases in frequency to daily services on flights from Copenhagen to Bangkok, Chicago and New York, as well as increased frequency to New York from Stockholm and to Dubai from Copenhagen. Short-haul flights will also see increase in frequency to Amsterdam, Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Nice, Rome and Pristina – all from Copenhagen. All changes will be permanent - not only for the winter schedule.

Swiss International Air Lines has launched a new sale on flights to India. The Swiss flag-carrier has Economy Class fares connecting via Zurich Airport to Mumbai and Delhi on sale from ca. € 421 return including taxes and surcharges. Travel until 26 March 2011. Book by 15 November.

Lufthansa Italia will from next summer launch two new routes from Milan. The Lufthansa subsidiary will offer new routes from Milan Malpensa to Cagliari and Palma Mallorca – each operating four times weekly – from 2 July 2011.

JetBlue has announced a new domestic route from 4 May 2011. The American carrier has announced four daily services between Boston and Newark.

SAS has put Scandinavian fares on sale from Europe. The cities included in the sale are Bergen, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Oslo, Stavanger and Stockholm, with one-way fares available from ca. € 70 including taxes. Travel between 1 November and 31 March 2011. Book by Monday, 18 October.

Aer Lingus has launched two separate sales – to Malaga and Ireland. Fares to the Spanish holiday destination are available from ca. € 34 one-way including taxes and charges from London Gatwick with the travel period open until 24 March 2011. To Ireland, fares are on sale from ca. € 23 one-way including taxes for the same period to five Irish destinations from five UK airports. Book by midnight on Monday, 18 October.

American Airlines has announced a new service to Finland. Flights will be operated daily from April 2011 between Chicago and Helsinki. The route will operate during the summer season.

Blue1 has announced a new route to Estonia. The SAS subsidiary will operate two daily services from 31 January 2011 between Helsinki and Tallinn.
