germanwings to launch five new international routes from Cologne

   

The German low-cost airline germanwings will launch five new routes from Cologne this summer. On March 30 the airline will operate a new twice weekly route to Tel Aviv, from March 31 a six weekly flight to Copenhagen, from April 1 a six times weekly flight to Madrid, from April 4 to Friedrichshafen twice daily and from May 1 to Thira (Santorini) once weekly.

Lufthansa has announced that they will return to Iraq after 20 years of service suspension. From April 25, the German national carrier will launch four weekly flights between Frankfurt and Erbil.

French regional carrier TwinJet will from April 12 launch a nine times weekly service between Geneva and Milan Malpensa. The service is also extended to and from Marseille after Milan.

NIKI, the Austrian low-cost airline, will launch a new service to Iceland. The route will be operated as a seasonal summer route. The service will operate between June 15 and August 24 from Vienna to Reykjavik.
