Continental and American Airlines launch new domestic routes

   

SAS has officially announced that when travelling across the Atlantic, passengers checking a second piece of luggage will have to pay a fee. In order to match their partners in Star Alliance, SAS will charge 50 dollars from April 1 for the second piece of luggage.

Continental Airlines will later this year launch a new flight to Maui, Hawaii, from Orange County, California. The carrier will be operated four times weekly. Furthermore, Continental will operate an extra daily flight from Maui to Los Angeles.

Jet2.com will launch a new service to Majorca. The low-cost carrier will begin operating the new service from Edinburgh on June 26.

American Airlines will launch three new services during the summer. From June 10, the carrier will begin operate a twice daily Dallas to Augusta and another twice daily Dallas to Fayetteville, NC. From July 2 a daily New York JFK to Austin service will launch.
