Singapore Airlines will launch a new service to Tokyo. The Star Alliance carrier will operate two daily flights from Singapore to Tokyo Haneda starting October 31. The airline will continue to operate its twice daily Singapore to Tokyo Narita service.

American Airlines will during the summer season operate four extra weekly services between Miami and Buenos Aires. The carrier will operate 18 weekly flights to the Argentinean capital from July 2 to August 23.

Alitalia has announced three new domestic routes from May 17. The Italian national carrier will operate three weekly flights from Venice to Lamezia Terme and Reggio di Calabria.

Spanair will from May 21 launch a new route to Edinburgh. The Spanish carrier will operate five weekly flights from Barcelona.

airBaltic will launch four new routes to Sweden and Finland during the summer. From June 1, the Baltic carrier will launch routes from Tallinn and Oulu to Stockholm. From June 4 Riga to Visby will take flight, while Riga to Lulea will be effective from July 2.

Transaero will launch a new service to China. From July 30, the Russian carrier will begin servicing a route between Moscow Domodedovo and Hong Kong. The route will be operated on a weekly basis.

Vueling, the Spanish low-cost carrier will launch three new European routes. The routes will fly from Valencia to Munich thrice weekly, from Barcelona to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen four times weekly and from Barcelona to Edinburgh thrice weekly.

The German low-cost airline germanwings will launch five new routes from Cologne this summer. On March 30 the airline will operate a new twice weekly route to Tel Aviv, from March 31 a six weekly flight to Copenhagen, from April 1 a six times weekly flight to Madrid, from April 4 to Friedrichshafen twice daily and from May 1 to Thira (Santorini) once weekly.

Lufthansa has announced that they will return to Iraq after 20 years of service suspension. From April 25, the German national carrier will launch four weekly flights between Frankfurt and Erbil.

French regional carrier TwinJet will from April 12 launch a nine times weekly service between Geneva and Milan Malpensa. The service is also extended to and from Marseille after Milan.

NIKI, the Austrian low-cost airline, will launch a new service to Iceland. The route will be operated as a seasonal summer route. The service will operate between June 15 and August 24 from Vienna to Reykjavik.

Lufthansa are on their way to yet another cabin crew strike. The German airline will see a strike from its cabin crew as a follow up to the one day strike in February. There is a disagreement between the airline and its workers concerning wages and job security. The carrier is calling a four-day strike after Easter, from April 13-16.

Delta Air Lines has announced that they will be restoring three previously cancelled routes from Los Angeles. The three routes in question are flying to Columbus, OH, Hartford, CT and Raleigh, NC. Each route will fly from June 10 and operate once daily.

Transaero will launch two new routes within domestic Russia and Kazakhstan. From May 19 the Russian carrier will launch 2 weekly services between Moscow Domodedovo to Kostanay in Kazakhstan. From June 25 a twice weekly route will fly between Domodedovo and Yakutsk.

Ryanair have announced two new routes to Croatia. This summer the low-cost airline will launch services to Zadar from Bari and Bremen. The two routes will launch June 1 and operate twice weekly.

Virgin America will stop operating its routes between San Francisco and Orange County. The route operated four times daily, but will stop flying from May 26. The cancellation will allow the airline to operate more lucrative routes. Related to the latter, Virgin America has announced two new daily services to Orlando. From August 19, flights will be operated from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Lufthansa has announced a new route to London. From April 19, the German carrier will launch a daily service to London Heathrow from Dresden.
