Aer Lingus cut everything but four routes at London Gatwick.

Less than a year after opening a new base at London Gatwick Airport, the Irish carrier Aer Lingus will cut down on the volume of flights at the London base. Due to a rough financial year the airline will only operate flights to Cork, Dublin, Knock and Malaga. All other destinations will no longer be serviced.

American carrier JetBlue Airways has launched a new service from its home base at Boston Logan International Airport to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Fares start from $ 99 (ca. € 70), and will fly each Saturday all year long, with the exception of the time between May 5 and September 1 where an additional service will fly on Wednesdays.

Germanwings have announced that they will launch a new base at Hanover Airport. There will be launched 15 new flights starting from May, with flights to Stuttgart, Bastia, Palma, Vienna, Barcelona, Heraklion, Moscow (Vnukovo), Zadar, Budapest, London (Stansted), Rome (Fiumicino), Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Milan (Malpensa) and Split.

Air Greenland will from May 8 to September 25 operate a seasonal flight between Nuuk and Icelandic capital Reykjavik. This will mark the first time a flight will be operated between the two cities. There will be one weekly service.
