American Airlines will launch a new service between Manchester and New York JFK. The announcement comes only a week’s time after Delta Air Lines announced that they will cut their service between the two cities. The flight which is set to be launched next summer will be operated on a daily basis.

Finnair will be re-opening their continental flights to Delhi and Shanghai for the winter. The daily operated routes will be launched respectively on September 28 and October 5. The routes will run for the winter season.

Jet2.com has offered passengers flying from Leeds Bradford Airport the opportunity of checking one piece of luggage in free of charge. The offer is very much against the trend of low-cost air carriers, but is none the less on all flights from that base.

bmibaby are starting a massive expansion at East Midlands taking place over the coming months. The new flights operating from the UK base will fly to Alghero, Barcelona, Bastia, Dubrovnik, Cork, Malta, Newquay, Prague and Venice (Marco Polo).
