Flybe has marked the launch of their 2009 summer schedule with a sale on selected routes by up to 50 per cent. Fares are available from £ 21.99 (ca. € 24) one-way including taxes and charges. The British airline will operate flights to 187 destinations with 432 weekly flights over the coming summer period.
Ryanair has announced that they will launch six new routes from three different locations. From the UK, new flights will see airtime from East Midlands to Palma and Reus. Both flights to the Spanish destinations will be beginning in July. From Alghero in Italy, there will also be a route to Reus, as well as to Bari from June. Lastly, the Irish airline will launch routes to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi in April and Rome Ciampino in June from Ibiza.
Finnair has announced that they will increase the frequency on their flight between Helsingfors and Tokyo to daily in the summer months. From June 13 to September 30 the Finish national airline will service the route with the new Airbus A340-300, able to room 270 passengers.
Aer Lingus has put flights from the UK to Ireland on sale from just £ 19.99 (ca. € 22). The sale is on one-way fares including taxes and charges, flying from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Gatwick & Heathrow, Manchester and Newcastle to Dublin, Cork and Shannon. Travel until May 31, except for flights out of Newcastle which only run until April 30. Book by April 6.
Continental Airlines will launch a new direct nonstop service from Newark Airport to Shanghai’s Pu Dong International. Today, on March 25, Continental will become the first US airline to operate between New York and Shanghai, when they launch their new daily service.
easyJet has brought forward the launch of new flights as well as increased frequency from Manchester Airport. Flights to Athens, Bastia, Corfu and Dalaman will now be launched on May 21, instead of the original launch date in August. The increase in frequency on flights to Alicante, Malaga, Malta, Paphos and Tenerife has also been brought forward.
Virgin America has launched a domestic flight sale in the US. Destinations include Boston, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. One-way’s start at $ 59 (ca. €43), excluding tax. Travel between April 14 and June 17. Book by March 30.
United Airlines has launched a sale on flights to Australia. Several U.S. destinations offers flights to Melbourne and Sydney with return fares available for $ 598 (ca. €440). Flights are available from all over the country, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago. Travel through June 15. Book no later than March 31.
Lufthansa has launched a sale to India with six destinations available. Fly to Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai from £ 459 (ca. €494) return, including all taxes, fees and surcharges. Fares are subject to availability. Travel between March 30, 2009 and February 1, 2010. Book by March 31, 2009.
Ryanair has announced two new routes and one cut from its base at East Midlands Airport. The two new routes will both fly to Spain, more precisely Barcelona Reus and Palma, while they will cut the route to Paris Beauvais in order to accommodate the changes. The new services will launch in July.
bmibaby has announced a summer sale with up to 50 per cent reductions on fares around Europe. Fly from the UK until October 24, not including the school holiday period. Book by April 2.
easyJet will increase its number of flights between Glasgow and Palma de Majorca for the late springtime. Between May 5 and June 23, the low-cost airline will operate two additional flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fares are available from £ 26.99 (ca. € ) including charges, fees and taxes.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has launched a sale on a slew of routes. Return fares including taxes, charges and fees are available for travel for a maximum period of a month. Destinations include Cairo, Milan and Osaka amongst many other international destinations from £ 139 (ca. €).
FlyGlobespan has launched a spring sale with discounts on fares of up to 30 per cent. Travel from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports, with flights available to a number of European destinations including Barcelona, Geneva and Tenerife. Meridiana has launched three new routes from two of its bases at Milan. The Italian airline will launch routes to Fuerteventura and Cagliari from Milan Orio al Serio, and a route to Lamezia-Terme from Milan Linate. All routes will take flight in the beginning of June.
Ryanair is set to launch new routes from Memmingen. Routes will fly from the German city to Girona, Dublin and London Stansted from the end of April, and to Alghero, Reus, Pisa and Alicante from June. They will also launch new routes from Brussels Charleroi to Bristol, Palma and La Rochelle from June.
