Virgin Atlantic has announced that they will increase frequency on some of its routes to the Caribbean Islands and the US in 2009. The route between Manchester Airports and Barbados will increase to two weekly flights between May 2 and November 7 2009, while the route between London Gatwick Airport and Montego Bay, Jamaica, will get an extra weekly flight between November 13, 2009 and March 19, 2010. Also, the route between Manchester and Orlando will see an extra weekly flight, operating on Sundays between April 26 and November 5, 2009.
easyJet has announced a new route to Nice. From April 2, 2009, the British airline will begin operating a thrice weekly service from its base at East Midlands Airport.
Helvetic will launch a new route to Italian destination Olbia next summer. The route will be operated from the airline’s base at Zurich Airport, with weekly services starting from April 11, 2009.
Aer Arann has announced that they from January 2009 will begin a new route between Dublin Airport and Blackpool International Airport. The route will run from January 5, from just £ 34 (ca. € 39), one-way including taxes and charges.
