Lufthansa Aquire Majority Of Bmi.

   

Lufthansa has acquired the majority of the British airline bmi, complementing its 30 per cent stake in the airline, by an extra 50 per cent holding, currently owned by the airline’s chairman. It is expected that Lufthansa will make a bid on the remaining 20 per cent, currently owned by SAS.

Ryanair has announced seven new routes from its base at London Luton Airport. Four of them were launched on Monday and Tuesday, running to Beziers (France), Derry (Northern Ireland), Kaunas (Lithuania), Szczecin (Poland) and Trapani (Italy). The two remaining routes will fly to Biarritz (France) and Rzeszow (Poland).

SAS has re-launched is route between Copenhagen and New Delhi, after originally being operated in 2001-2002. The route will be serviced three times weekly in the winter period, until March. The airline has also launched a route to Bangkok from Stockholm. The route is also a winter period only flight, but will operate until April instead of March.
