British Airways will during the winter period cut hundreds of routes between London Heathrow and Glasgow Airport and Aberdeen Airport. This cutback is also due to rising fuel prices, which has been leading to an 88 per cent fall in pre-tax profits. Overall more than 200 of the airlines winter flights will be cut.The Lufthansa strike is officially over today, but it wasn’t as problematic as feared. Today 1900 flights were completed while only 35 flights were cancelled. This trend will continue till the end of the week before the schedule is up and running as usual. Last Friday 34.000 employees agreed to a 5.1 percent pay rise now, as well as a 2.4 percent pay rise next year.Transavia.com is making a comeback on the Danish market. From December 18, they will launch a new route from Copenhagen to Innsbruck in Tyrol, with ski resorts Sölden, Zillertal, St.Anton and St. Johann close by. Ski-enthusiast can get one-way fares from DKK 500, incl. taxes and charges. The route will be operated five times weekly.
