Air Berlin has announced five new routes which will debut on November 3. Three of the routes will have base at Nuremberg, Germany, and fly to Milan Malpensa, Zurich, and Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Portugal. An analysis done for The Boston Globe shows that while the ticket prices have increased 13.8 percent on average nationally in the US, travels from Boston Logan International Airport have risen by 27.5 percent. The reason for this could be found in the market for cheap short-haul flights found in Boston. Many of the most popular destinations can be found within a 1,000 mile radius, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Columbus, and so forth. So even though a fare hasn’t had a big price change, the relative percent increase could be big. SkyEurope have announced a 48 hour sale with fares available from DKK 348 including taxes and charges. SkyEurope fly from Copenhagen to Prague as well as Vienna, wherefrom flights connect to Bratislava. Travel in the month of August. Book by 9 am on Thursday, July 24.
bmi has launched a sale to several of its most popular destinations. One-way fares are on sale from £ 37 (ca. € ) including taxes. Destinations are available in both the UK and other European cities, such as Copenhagen, Zurich and Lyon. Travel from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford and Manchester. The travel period must be between October 1, 2008 and March 28, 2009. Book by July 27.
