Busy week for Delta Air Lines

Adding up to a group already counting numerous airlines, Flyglobespan and Virgin Atlantic are set to increase their fuel surcharges on passenger fares. Virgin Atlantic will increase surcharges according to class and distance, ranging from £ 2.50 (ca. € 4) on short-haul economy seats to £ 28.50 (ca. € 42) on long-haul upper class seats. Flyglobespan only intend to increase the surcharge on long-haul flights with between £ 20 (ca. € 30) and £ 25 (ca. € 37) per passenger.

 

Delta Air Lines have announced 9 new international routes from the US. Today they launched a direct service between Salt Lake City and Paris Charles de Gaulle in a joint venture with Air France. Yesterday, Sunday June 1, they launched a route from JFK to Georgetown, Guyana, while tomorrow, Tuesday June 3, a  service will be launched to Cape Town, South Africa, via Dakar in Senegal. On Wednesday services Cairo, Egypt, and Malaga, Spain will be launched from New York JFK, and Friday will see a route to Amman, Jordan. Ending the feast is a direct flight to Antigua from Thursday, June 12.

 

US Airways will from tomorrow, Tuesday June 3, launch two new flights from Sacramento International Airport. The daily flights will go to Philadelphia and Charlotte.
