SkyEurope will from May launch two new routes to Alicante. Routes will depart from SkyEurope bases in Vienna and Prague.

Transavia will launch three new routes from The Netherlands to France. Debuting on April 12, routes will fly from Amsterdam to Bergerac and Montpellier, and from Rotterdam to Paris Orly.

In excess to the FlyBe route announced yesterday, they will also launch routes between Newcastle and Aberdeen, starting on March 30th, and a route from Newcastle to Rennes, starting on May 24th.

SAS-owned airline Widerøe will launch two new routes from Copenhagen to Norway, upping the total of connetions between Copenhagen Airport and Norway to nine. From the beginning of March, the new routes will fly to Rygge and Haugesund.

FlyBe will launch a new route between Newcastle and London Gatwick. The route, which will begin on March 30, will have 3 daily flights, and tickets starting from £ 21.99 (ca. € 33).

To celebrate their fifth birthday, Jet2.com, will launch a 10,000 seat giveaway, starting from 10 am (GMT) on February 12.

Clickair is set to add two new routes from their base in Seville. From March 30 routes will be launched to Tenerife (North) and Las Palmas. A new route between Barcelona to Milan Malpensa will also be launched.

Vueling will add new routes to their schedule. Routes will be launched, starting in mid-March, from Madrid to Tenerife (North) and Las Palmas, from Barcelona to Ibiza, Mahon and Las Palmas, and from Malaga to Bilbao.

Atlantic Airways will in the period between June 19 and August 24, offer a twice-a-week flight between Stockholm and The Faroe Islands (via Stavanger).

bmibaby is offering ”ski”-flights on sale from UK airports. One-way fares are on sale to airports well-located for ski resorts from £ 18.99 (ca. € 28), including taxes and charges.

Air Malta announced their new summer schedules, with increased frequency being offered on routes between Manchester and Malta, where an extra Friday flight will up the weekly frequency to eight, and between Gatwick and Catania (Sicily), where and extra Friday flight will up the weekly frequency to five. At the same time, Air Malta is offering return flights from the UK to Malta from £ 79 (ca. € 119), including taxes and charges.

Jet2.com is extending their biggest ever seat sale. Hundreds of thousands of seats are available to all of their destinations. One-way fares start at £ 9.99 (ca. € 15), with travel available until the end of April. Book before 5 pm (GMT) on Friday, February 1.

KLM is offering flights from London Airports to both Europe and the US. Return fares are available from £ 249 (ca. € 336) to the US and from £ 79 (ca. € 106) to Europe. Travel to destinations as New York. Las Vegas, Amsterdam and Athens. Outbound travel must be completed before July 31, and a minimum stay of a week applies. Book before January 31.

Aer Arann will this summer launch a new service between Cork and La Rochelle. Weekly Saturday flights will operate between May 24 and September 13. On-way tickets will cost from € 69.

bmi is offering return tickets to destinations around the UK and Europe. Journeys are available from £ 75 (ca. € 102), including taxes and charges. Destinations include Manchester, Brussels, Copenhagen and Lyon, amongst many. Book at least seven days in advance, but no more than four months beforehand. Book by April 1.

Ryanair has four million seats available from £5 (ca. € 7), including taxes and charges. Travel until Monday, March 31. Book 14 days in advance. A major selection of routes is available, including destinations, Dublin, Valencia and Milan. Book before midnight on Monday, January 28.

In line with RyanAir, WizzAir have also announced increases of fees for checked in baggage, taking effect February 1st. Baggabe paid for at the time of booking will carry a €6 fee, up from €5, whilst baggage checked in at the airport will carry a €12 fee, up from €10. The fee applies for each piece of checked in baggage.

 

In other news, WizzAir has started new routes to the UK from Poland to the UK. Bournemouth and Coventry to Gdansk, starting March 15th, Glasgow to Poznanfrom February 3rd with fares starting ca. €28, from Luton to Wroclaw and Gatwick to Katowice starting on January 31st, Doncaster-Sheffield to Poznan and Warsaw starting February 1st. One way fares all start at £19,99 (ca. €28) all inclusive.

 

Book by February 14th and take advantage of reduced fares on Cathay Pacific to a number Asian destinations on outbound travel between April 11 and June 12 and again between November 1st and December 4th. Examples of fares from London Heathrow to Bangkok from £522, Beijing from £517 and Shanghai from £520.

 

Midnight on January 25th is the last chance to take advantage of Air Arann's 1 million seat sale with fares from £25 and upwards.
