Recently it was the International Dance Day. At Momondo we totally support a day dedicated to dancing and we've decided to celebrate the day too. Therefore we’ve asked our city bloggers to come up with their favourite spots to go and dance or watch others do it. So put on your boogie shoes and let our bloggers guide you through the best dance spots in cities across the world.
Let's dance #7: Paris

Let's be honest: I'm not really much of a dancer. More of a "sway-from-side-to-side" kind of girl, preferably while looking at my shoes. But every once in a while - usually after too much wine - I catch the bug and go in search of some boogie. My mental list changes all the time, of course, as places fall in and out of favor. For the moment, though, here are the Paris spots that are worthy of your dancing shoes.
Chez Moune

Chez Moune isn't new - it's been a notorious lesbian bar since the early 20th century - but it's very newly cool. Recently resurrected as a late-night destination, this Pigalle club opens around 11:30 and stays loud until dawn. Entry is free if you can get past the door. We saw girls entering freely while single guys were turned away for "not being on the list." For those inside, drinks are pricey and the music is unsurprising (a lot of vintage Michael Jackson and Rolling Stones). On the bright side, the people watching is excellent - plenty of model type girls and mustachioed boys wearing all the latest trends. It's like the Fashion Week after-parties (many of which were held here) never ended.

Paris Social Club

Formerly Le Triptyque, the newly-christened Social Club is the destination for fans of electro. Sets from Ed Banger, 2Many DJs, Poni Hoax and Tiga keep the skinny jeans brigade coming back for more. The crowd is high energy: these kids may look good but they're not too cool to dance. Entry ranges from free to about €18, and you can check their online program to see what's happening.

BATOFAR

An oldie-but-goodie, the Batofar is a bright red boat docked in the Seine river. Much bigger than it looks, this floating party has three bars and 3000 square feet of dancing space. Programming leans heavily toward electro, with some new wave thrown in for good measure. In good weather, the party spreads up to the deck and even out onto the docks. A new series of quai-side apéros are offering food, booze and music in the open air beginning at 7pm.
