Sweet Kreuzberg: Go Exotic & Creative

Kreuzberg is funky. It's characterized by resplendent moustaches, cheap fruit, and odd accents.

Kreuzberg is officially divided into two areas, Kreuzberg 36 and Kreuzberg 61, named after a couple of long gone postal codes. Kreuzberg 36 is the home of radical leftists and immigrants, Kreuzberg 61, meanwhile, is where the mellower flower power types reside. Unofficially two more areas exist, Wrangelkiez and Grafekiez – kiez means neighbourhood, and Wrangel and Graefe are two streets you just can’t ignore. 30% of the inhabitants of Kreuzberg have non-German ethnic origins, most of those with roots in Turkey, which means that the neighbourhood, in addition to its untamed anarchist ideas, is characterized by resplendent moustaches, cheap fruit, and odd accents.

Below you'll find some of the interesting and alternative places I varmly recommend you visit in Kreuxberg.
