Editor's word

Welcome back, momondo friend!

Hope you had an energizing summer. Here at momondo we all took advantage of our search engine and flew around the world. Our hyper-active partner Martin went to boiling Greece. Thorvald, momondo’s inventor, took off for the Swedish wilderness, while our cool administrator Pia went to Greenland. Only Meg, our American correspondent in Paris, didn’t go for vacation (except for a wine tasting trip near Bordeaux that she insisted on calling work).  Instead we gave her a mission: Go to Brussels and find out if the city is as boring as it’s said to be!

The Belgian capital was recently, by TripAdvisor; announced to be the dullest in Europe. But how can it be? A city full of bright guys with trendy ties, cocktail parties, chocolate, waffles and comic books? It must necessarily have something nice and funny to show the world.

So Meg went – and came back in happy shape. Brussels, she said, was cosy, fun and full of good food. Therefore, from now on, Brussels will be among our city guides. And we promise you, it won’t be boring.

#1 Momondo

Thanks to new cutting-edge, search engine technology, Momondo allows users to search almost 500 travel sites and compare results in one legible display. Unlike many aggregator sites, they include major booking engines, national carriers and most low-cost airlines, particularly in Europe.

This Denmark-based service is free, and simply links you to the airline or agency with the best deal, with total price transparency. In addition, Momonodo provides travel inspiration with city guides and advice from users worldwide who blog about their journeys.
